Art Gallery of Ontario – Favourites: Your Choices from Our Collection. For the first time in the AGO’s history, gallery patrons will decide the contents of an exhibition. Art Gallery of Ontario: Present Tense – Michael Awad: The Entire City Project. To Feb. 26. Bata Shoe Museum: Appeasing the Spirits: Alaskan Coastal Cultures. On display until Feb. 2006. Bata Shoe Museum: Beads, Buckles and Bows: Four Hundred Years of Embellished Footwear. The Market Gallery: Aba Bayefsky – Paintings, Drawings and Graphics
Until February 5. Aba Bayefsky was a well-known and accomplished Toronto artist and educator who portrayed people, places and legends through his watercolor paintings, prints and murals. This exhibit features drawings and paintings spanning 50 years of Bayefsky’s career. Windows, Gables, Gingerbread & Gargoyles runs February 11 to March 26. This exhibit will examine the vernacular windows and doorways of Toronto architecture featuring photographs and original artwork by Toronto artist Linda Goldman. Free admission for both.
